Just finished watching a doco on the making of The Doors first album.
Brilliant stuff watching the three remaining members individually (I think they only talk to each other through their lawyers these days) recreate their parts in the various tracks and lucidly explaining how they were able to put music to Morrison's words.
Their enthusiasm was matched by the sound engineer. You could see the respect on his face as he played with his panel to demonstrate various aspects of the tracks.
The pity of it all is, in the words of John Densmore, brilliance and self-destruction came together in Jim Morrison.
