Menzies Aviation Denmark ApS petitions for bankruptcy

Menzies Aviation (Menzies) announces with regret that its subsidiary company Menzies Aviation Denmark ApS has today petitioned for bankruptcy.

Menzies has endeavored to find an alternative solution to bankruptcy but after an exhaustive review of alternatives it is clear that the business cannot continue. This is very unfortunate, but in the economic environment we find ourselves in it has been necessary to take this action.

Menzies lead customer in Copenhagen was Sterling Airlines who filed for bankruptcy on 29 October. Menzies handled forty flights per day on behalf of Sterling and without this continued business Menzies is unable to operate a viable business.

Menzies continues to operate at 112 locations in 26 countries, providing ground and cargo handling services to many of the world's leading airlines across the world. Menzies remains a strong business and will continue to target attractive customers in attractive airports at sustainable margins. At all times we strive to provide great customer service in a safe and secure environment.
