So the Question is

"How do you do a type rating in a Kaman K-max as it only has one seat?"

Does the instructor have to sit on your lap during the lesson? Other inventive solution or real answers please. :ok:

AFAIK it's done in the similar HH-43 Huskie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HH-43_Huskie), although i stand to be corrected :)

In most places, you don't need a "type rating" in any aircraft to fly it by yourself.
