Today's Punch newspaper is reporting that FAAN is to close Maiduguri airport for 1 week for emergency runway repairs starting tomorrow 21 October.

This is supposedly to allow flights for the forthcoming Hajj operation.
Kaduna airport is also undergoing runway repairs at present, but is expected to reopen on Thursday and FAAN are talking of runway 18L at Lagos finally reopening in December. Much of the outstanding work is being blamed on the huge sums of money, allegedly running into billions of naira owed to it by the airline operators.
