Question.

Referring to the diagram, determine the wind velocity and temperature at 2000ft over position 50° N 0° E/W.

I can clearly interpret the columns and what they signify but how do I work out wind velocity of a position for example 50° N 0° E/W.

As far as I understand, I will need to interpolate between the locations but I'm not sure how to?

Can someone please help :ugh:

The 50 degree N spot winds are at 2'30'E and 2'30W; therefore simply take the average direction and average speed i.e. at 50N 00230W the wind is 190/10 and at 50N 00230W, the wind is 150/20. Therefore, at 50N 000E/W the wind will be approx 170/15.

If this is for the exams there will be two answers that will definitely be wrong and one that is near but not quite!

Cheers
