View Full Version : AS350 Wire Strike Austria (Safe Landing)

According to a news report from today an AS 350 from Austrian Wucher Helicopter flew into an 8mm steel wire yesterday afternoon.

The article explains that the wire was cut by the rotor system at 300 feet during filming work. Luckily the pilot could put the machine with all 3 passengers safely on the ground. The helicopter was working low level for a HD filming project.

Very glad that to learn that no one was hurt.

Can see what looks like a camera pole mount in the pics but no camera attached.
How did the camera fare in the landing?

They could have took it off the nose before them photos were taken, who knows!

Glad to hear and see that the Aircraft and the passengers are down safely!:)
