Does anyone out there have contacts in Airport security particularly at Gatwick? I am due to leave the RAF soon and I am looking for a way into airport security management.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would go suited and booted, certainly smart casual, to Gatwick, introduce yourself, who you are, where you are, what you want to do.
Ask if you can speak with a member of security management, if not at least a contact name, so you can call or write.
Have you asked if your resettlement team can help with this at all, as in a work experience placement or civil aviation security course?

Resettlement will help with the allocation of courses, funding etc, but I want to find out what quals are desirable/essential for management entry level. My CVs are in the post to most of the HR depts at most of the security firms around Gatwick.

I am trying the 'its not what you know but who you know' approach.

Thanks for your advice

There is an airport job centre at LGW. It used to be next to the South Terminal by the tunnel and the GA entrance.

The afore mentioned job centre now ceases to exist. Thanks for the help anyway.
