hi all

with regards to the above flight no & route, would be grateful if anyone could offer any advise please.

the above flight is due to take off this sunday at 06:00 Hrs. with it being an early departure, would this mean the aircraft would heve been parked up overnight at manchester, and therefore be its first flight out for the day, or would it be coming in from somewhere about 1 - 2 hours earlier and just doing a normal turnaround?

the reason i am asking is because i have some relatives coming back on the return flight (TCX135l MIR - MAN) which is due to land man @ 14:05. now here is the problem - i am due to pick them up and the grand prix is on 13:00 - 14:30 (or poss to 15:00 if a timed race rather than a distance race), and i am about 70 mins from manchester.

as you can see, my dilemma is missing the final part of the grand prix in order to set off to the airport in time to pick dear old mother up - UNLESS i know early on in the day there is a strong possibility of the flight being delayed...........

many thanks in advance for all your help.

cheers

Well the TCX 135k is one of the 2 B767-300 at the mo and on saturday the last flights they operate are the TCX 174k DLM wich returns at 0215 and the TCX 56k FUE which returns at 0235. So, unless they are heavily delayed on Saturday or are needed for something else the MIR should be ok!

oh well, better Sky+ the race and turn the radio off in the car..........

BTW, if one of the 767's operates the MIR route on the sunday morning, where does the other 767 go on the sunday morning?

Sorry to disappoint you but the TCX135L into MAN from MIR has a very good punctuality record.

Due in at 14.05, here are the landing times for the last 7 weeks:
10.08.08 - 13.38
17.08.08 - 14.03
24.08.08 - 13.39
31.08.08 - 13.31
07.08.08 - 13.34
14.09.08 - 13.56
21.09.08 - 14.22

However, past performance is no guarantee of future punctuality but good enough for you to miss the race.

TSR2, many thanks for the encouraging information.

one thing though, perhaps if punctuality is so good, with many early arrivals, i might actually be able to pick them up and get home BEFORE the start of the race........... :ok:
