A many times seen clip of TSR2 but I'm curious about the a/c's behavior between times 2.42 - 2.46.

YouTube - The BAC TSR-2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7JAYHHsVU8)

(You may have to go to Google videos and search on The BAC TSR-2)

I know very little about aircraft and would appreciate some explanation as to why the aircraft was 'leveled' after touching and also why the aircraft rolled to port whilst being leveled.

Please forgive my ignorance regarding terms and procedures regarding fixed wing.

Regards

Thanks for posting this link. Just been watching it, and then ended up watching several other TSR2/SR-71/XB-70/EE Lightning video's that were in the related video's on You Tube.

In one of them it explained that that was the first ever landing of a TSR2 and the pilot touched down with a rate of decent that was too high and caused the bounce back into the air, then the pilot was trying to control the a/c to touch down again safely.

It's a good site that You Tube, never know what your going to find on there !!

:ok:

I thought it was a pilot other than Roland Beamont who did the 'bouncy' landing?

Anticipating being shot down, so ducking below parapet. Run out of metaphors...
