Rob Reider (http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080909/ENT/809090304/1035/LIFE&referrer=NEWSFRONTCAROUSEL) - a fixture at US airshows

Hmmm. Not sure I've had the pleasure of hearing him, but having attended Airshows in the States with commentators who have been awarded 'The Sword of Excellence]??!!! I can only say, and this is my own opinion, that I have yet to hear one who comes anywhere near our own Airshow Commentators in this country as regards quality and expertise.. The Military ones are totally over the top, and the civilian ones mostly so unknowledgeable as to have English attendees laughing down their trouser legs at the frequent mis-information!!

I've only heard Reider once or twice, and he's not bad at all. At least he knows a throttle from a turnbuckle. :}

My standard of comparison, though, is Bill Sweet, back to the EAA Rockford shows in the early 60s.
