I was in a nice spot on Anglsey in Wales on Sunday called Benllech Bay. Late in the after noon a commercial aircraft flew over very low no more than 1500 I would say. Looked like a 757 or 767 anyway it had the undercarriage down and headed out to see.

Sorry its a bit late now but I just wondered if anyone knew anything about this flight as it struck me as a bit odd.

DD

It was more than likely Thomas Cook's 757 - G-FCLI with a Left Engine driven Hydrulic pump problem. Reported to be circling over the UK's west coast until enough fuel was burnt off prior to returning to Manchester.

To assist in the burning of the fuel and increase drag the flaps and gear were down.

That would make sense. Hope the aircraft landed safely. I knew somebody would know.
