A couple of weeks ago I saw an Eastern Airways Saab 2000 touching down in Ibiza. Anyone know if this is a regular charter flight or a one off?

Can't help you with the IBZ question, but I saw one in Nice the other week. I assume they're ad hoc charters.

It can't be the best aircraft to travel to Ibiza in from the UK. Would have thought it would take at least 3 hours as well from a southern UK airport and maybe 4 hours from the north.

The Saabs not that slow, are they?

Could be worse, how about all the way to Ibiza in a J41? :E

The Saabs not that slow, are they?

The following data would seem to indicate that the aircraft is quite nippy...........

Not necessarily a flight from the UK. There are holiday charters to IBZ from all over Europe, including many now from E Europe... plus many private planes in and out. I haven't been for many years, but it wasn't unusual even in the 1990s to see smaller twin-prop planes on scheduled internal flights or to and from destinations in Italy, southern France, N Africa etc.
