Which one of these entry level ratings gives you the better chance of being employable?

A Single Engine CPL with Instrument Rating?

Or

A CPL with Multi rating and NO Instrument Rating?

Assume your total time is 200, and its one or the other (Multi or Instrument) you can afford to get first.

You definitely need the ME/SE CPL WITH an Instrument Rating to fully market yourself as a professional pilot.

Neither look particularly inviting. A single engine IR isn't of much viable use. Most single engine work is VFR only. On the other hand a Multi rating without an IR is useless to many multi operators who do fly IFR in a twin. Without an IR it's likely you won't be employed to fly twins. Get the multi IR. It's the obvious and only answer.

A CPL + FI rating would be much better. :ok:

As above, add an FI rating to the CPL, either of your combinations are too limiting on their own.
