I was looking at JAR-FCL 1.340 concerning requirements for the FI(A) course. They where refering to the Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.340, which I found, but for syllabus details they where refering to AMC FCL 1.340. which I did not find.

Any links to the aformentioned document online?

AMC is Section 2 of JAR-FCL which I don't beleive is available on-line.

Pre-entry requirements are

CPL knowledge (ie CPL exams passed)
200 hours including 100 P1 if CPL help, 150 hours P1 if PPL
Current SEP, min 30 hours SEP including min 5 hours SEP within 6 months
preceding pre-entry flight test.
10 hours instrument flight instruction time
20 hours X-country, including 300nm qualifying flightlanding at 2 other places
Pre-entry flight test

If you wish to be paid to instruct you will of course require a CPL.

Many arguments persist about IMC or IR. It is true that neither are required. My opinion is that an instructor should have at least an IMC.

Hope this helps
