I haven't had the chance to talk to anyone who works there but it seems a good one stop shop in respect to eventually going IFR, global etc.
Their VFR ops seem nicely varied also.

Are pilots pooled from Vancouver/Victoria or based troughout WCanada?

Anything would be appreciated. PM me if you like.
Cheers

With VIH you're more likely to go global in the VFR division, lots of heavy lift and other VFR contracts across the globe for them. The IFR division (Cougar) does have some international work too but so far it's limited to the GOM I think.

I don't work there but the pals I have that do enjoy it, keep asking me to join up. We'll see.

I worked for VIH for 2.5 years and they were pretty good to work for. Pilots come from all over Canada. Cougar has machines flying in the GOM, plus Canadian Arctic, and Alaska. I know the logging/Heavy lift division has been over in Taiwan for a year and a half with a Kamov, another Kamov is in Brazil now, as well they had work for 61's in Peru. VIH also bought 49% of a company doing offshore work in China with 76's and there was talk of possibly sending 92's there in the future. I know they have numerous aircraft on order, EC145, EC175, AS350B3, S76D, S92, BH407.
