An Aeroplane?????

C'mon, if you are spotters you should be able to identify it from either noise or silhouette..................

In fact I think you will find it was........

One of the Aurora fleet support aircraft, it carries a vast amount of tools, spares, engineers and weapons. They sneak in and out of civy airports late at night so that it attracts less attention....

Oh, Bugger.

Looked like a wide bodied VC10 type of shape, same tail fin shape and drab green/grey in colour.

No such animal, I'm afraid. The nearest could be a C17, but that [apart from the "T" tail] looks nowt like a VC10.

It was a VC 10.

Should have gone to Spectical Shavers - STN is a big field - could have been a Vickers Vimy in a Time warp.
