Was looking for a little favour,

Could someone currently deployed drop me a PM please ? I'm hoping to get a signed Sqn print for a unit that works with both the GR4 and GR7. Will give more details and cudentials (not that I have many :( ) via PM.

Thanks !

Aviation Photography - 41(R) Squadron (http://www.targeta.co.uk/squadronaction_41.htm)

Send them a letter. I'm sure they will be helpful!

No other unit operates both types!:ok:

However, for info on WHO does and is...

904 Expeditionary Air Wing (EAW) - Close Air Support (http://www.raf.mod.uk/904eaw/operations/closeairsupport.cfm)

For the Leapers!

RAF - 901 Expeditionary Air Wing (http://www.raf.mod.uk/currentoperations/901eaw.cfm)

For the Sweepers! Its a Lossie squadron at the mo.

I'll add to Alber Ratman's post there and advose you to contact Terrane

Terrane Ltd. - Official Supplier to the World's Armed Forces (http://www.terrane.co.uk/)

As one of the few 'Grand Slam' members of the all of the RAF's OEU's of the period, Strike Attack OEU, F3 OEU, Fast Jet and Weapons OEU and 41 (R) member, I can confirm that Terrane has produced many different versions of combined GR4 and GR7 poster, and they are all of the quality you would expect from Terrane.

My bad. Should have been a bit more clearer.

I'm looking for someone on GR4's that can get a print signed by those on det at the moment, for a unit that works with them in theatre.

I'm also looking for someone on GR7's that can get a print signed by those on det at the moment, for the same unit that works with them in theatre.

I'm aware they may not have prints in theatre (indeed that's one of the things I'm hoping to find out).

Hope that clarifies it ! Thanks !

A nice letter to the CRO's of Cottesmore , Lossiemouth or to the OC's of 801 NAS and 14 , 12 or 617 (depending on who is in Qatar at the mo).

Oh.. please give them the reason that you want them. If it is charitable, you will have no problem, I feel!:ok:

I'll give a reason through PM's.

Would rather do this aircrew mate to aircrew mate. Last time I wrote to a CRO I was a spacey looking for an AEF ride ;)

Don't let the CRO see you then- as you are still space-cadet sized, he may still think the same.....;)

Nah it didn't ;). Am sure it got filed the usual way most things to the CRO get filed (I've worked with them and they do a great job, but if the ACLO's not around to get a forwarded e-mail or letter, then good luck with that....)

But I did receive lots of letters at my last place of work from Air Cadets that wanted AEF flights. And I managed to get some of them flying.

As for my size Goldcup, I can pass for at least a Cadet Warrant Officer these days, especially with my 5 o clock shadow ;)
