I will be in NZ soon and might try and get to Te Anau. Anyone seen this movie?

YouTube - Ata Whenua Fiordland (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbqmMt8Vwzc&feature=related)

For those outside New Zealand, Kim Hollows is a fairly well known pilot from Te Anau in the lower South Island (Mainland of New Zealand ;))

Totally co-incidentally I just bought the DVD (now waiting on the post...) on the recommendation of a mate who's a pilot and professional cameraman (ie so knows a little more about these things than me...;)). He couldn't speak highly enough of it, says it's a stunning film to see in that cinema those guys bought just to show it . Let us know what you think after you do see it Mike, the clips look immense :)

I made a Helicopter movie once! Sold the footage to the National Geographic channel to just break even on the production costs, Go for it Kim!

Ok, seen it now. Fantastic scenery, beautiful place to see, absolutely stunning. Must go there some time :)

Don't expect the film to be about helicopters though. I suspect they had a bit more footage of the helis in action than actually made it into the production, which from my (purely personal) pov was a bit of a shame. The few bits that did make it in are great though.

Enjoy! BM

Yes it is very good. I went to Te Anau to see it while on a recent trip to NZ.
As per BM's comments above, it is a beautiful part of the world.

Flights like that make this a pretty good job some days...

Sorry to dredge up old thread, but happened by chance to find a clip of pilot/operator/filmmaker Kim Hollows and his deer hunting operation, for those who are interested.
