Trip to Ireland - some help please!

I'm working on a route to Waterford.

Am I wasting my time planning a route through D117/D118 (Carmarthen Bay/Pembrey) on a Saturday or Sunday? I think that D118 isn't usually active at weekends, but does anyone have any ideas about D117?

This leg of the route is Swansea - Haverfordwest, so going around isn't so hard, I'd just prefer to know now if it's a no-go.

and as notified.

For Pembrey, when open:
‡ Note: Aircraft operating in these areas are unable to comply with Rules 8, 9, 10 and 11 (Rules of the Air Regulations 2007). Pilots in the vicinity of these areas are strongly advised to make use of a Radar Service.

I think there's info on the chart legends as well, isn't there? (I don't have one to hand)

Hi, you will also have to do a G.A.R. form, for the transit from Haverfordwest to Ireland 48hrs in advance, unless you are departing from an approved airfield, this info will be in any Pooleys,VFR guide etc.
