Sri Lankan Airlines has a zero tolerance policy on frauds, All such transactions will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law...

I have never seen a message like this before on an airline reservation page, any idea why its specific to Sri Lankan? www.srilankan.aero

In the past, a lot of ticket blanks used to get stolen from travel agents' offices. I guess Sri Lankan were badly affected. With more electronic ticketing, we're forgetting how much fraud used to go on.

Electronic ticketing may have done away with fraud linked to stolen tickets, counterfeits and altered tickets but new forms of fraud are now in place particularly those related to forms of payment.

I'm waiting for the day when someone succeeds in hacking an ET database.

Geoff Goldblum did that in Independance Day!

I hate acronyms. Aviation is full of them. Commitees earn thousands dreaming acronyms that run together to make a new word! 'PLUTO', 'RADAR', 'ASDIC', etc. There are so many now they don't bother anymore. But ET means to me Extra-Terrestrial, so why not let the 98% (at least) of your readers have a clue what your meaning of ET is?

ET = Electronic Ticket.
