A quick question please for any of you involved in Load Planning the A380.

What is an average fit for Pallets and ULD's?

I can't get any reliable info from my resident experts so I'm hoping that some of you who have planned the beast for real can help.

Thanks in advance.

LHS I don't work for an airline, but I have been asked to plan future ground equipment needs looking 8-10 years into the future when A380's will be a daily part of life.

I have the various mixes that are possible from 34 ctrs 0 pallets, to 2 ctrs 10 pallets, but was interested in what the normal operating mix is.

Hi, at the moment the common version used is 4 pallets, 20 containers.

The pallets are loaded in 21/22/23/24P and the containers go in 11,12,13,14,41,42,43,44,45 L and R. In addition there are 2 containers in 35 and 36 (no left andright positions here due to crew rest area).

Pallets are never loaded in the aft.

Hope this helps

Thanks that's a big help. I'm quite surprised to see so few pallet positions being used, I'm guessing not much demand for freight.

:ok:
