Just been looking at a US forum, and there is a thread about Flybe using EMB-145's and crews from Express Jet in the US, to serve routes in Europe.

Express Jet is a regional operator in the US that has recently fallen on hard times, after loosing some Continental flying, and not having had alot of luck branching out on their own under branded flying.

They have a reputaion for having one of the best pilot contracts, and management groups in the industry, but their pay is good only in comparison to US regionals. About 1/4 of UK rates.

Anybody else heard this? The rumour thread on the US forum mentions Parc Aviation too.

Just curious. Not trying to start a war here, but I am supprised if it is true.

If they cannot obtain the aircraft fast enough otherwise, then as a temporary solution, it is acceptable.

Many UK crews fly in the winter stateside under similar arrangements.

Surely the wrong forum??

I think you'll find it's crew only. Using them as a temporary stand in for existing 145 crews as they convert on to the Q400.
