Also waiting for results from my first module...5 in total (one of which was perf.)
Had almost forgotten them with the start of my second module! Seemed to find them ok, but it's all speculation until tomorrow...
18th Jun 2008, 18:05
Im waiting for a fair few, got perf, m&b, law, ops, flight planning, gen nav and radio nav. Hope they come soon now... Good luck to all.
18th Jun 2008, 18:19
so what is tomorrow? Are they coming on Thursday always?
18th Jun 2008, 18:26
They are meant to be here by Friday at the latest, disregarding any technical issues. I know for my Phase one, they came on the Wednesday.
18th Jun 2008, 18:26
often, your training provider gets the results before you do. You can ring them to see if they have them before the postie comes. Mine sent me an email with the results well before they dropped through the post. Good luck all.
No idea what you'll do with them at the minute tho, :-(
18th Jun 2008, 18:28
I would imagine celebrate and drink if you have passed them, or drink and book retakes if you have not been so lucky this time :-P
18th Jun 2008, 18:58
as I understood on phone call to Bristol today, that results coming next week
18th Jun 2008, 19:02
what have people found the hardest subject so far?
i ve looked at gen nav could be a real nightmare with all the stuff to remember?
18th Jun 2008, 19:05
did they give a reason?
18th Jun 2008, 19:06
Next week?? Is that confimed??
Gen nav was tough due to the amount of stuff there, but I thought Performance was fairly tough aswell.
18th Jun 2008, 19:09
maybe they had appeals and are looking into them.
18th Jun 2008, 19:11
nothing is confirmed or given reason, I wrote, as I understood on phone, maybe I am wrong. So finger cross, folks!
18th Jun 2008, 19:12
They always have appeals, they have to get the results out within 10 working days which is by the end of this week.
18th Jun 2008, 19:12
I know there were two very simular, if not the same questions on ops, but that was all that I found.
18th Jun 2008, 19:14
I wasn't involved in the conversation so I've no reason to doubt what you say but to send them next week would be unusually late. They would normally hit the doormat on the Thursday (tomorrow) or Friday.
This is an unusual month, of course, with a 5 week gap between sittings, so, if the results came out this week you could book re-sits on Monday for the very next sitting, something you normally cannot do.
18th Jun 2008, 19:30
well lets hope that they do tomorrow i guess.
I just wish i could get these exams out of the way so i can get on with the fun part:ugh:
wheres everyone else studying then, im at london met on distance learning.
18th Jun 2008, 19:32
I was at oxford distance learning, well I guess I may still be there if I didnt pass all of my phase two exams lol...
18th Jun 2008, 19:41
oh cool well done.
any useful tips u can give us?
18th Jun 2008, 19:50
Dont do distance learning unless you seriously have the time to spare and the dedication to study every day. Although it may be cheaper, I wish I would have done full time and quit work earlier, as 'trying' to learn Met and Gen Nav from a book on your own is hard going ... But as you have already sat phase one, I guess that is irrelevent.
For flight planning, I highlighted the areas of charts I had seen in feedback Q's, which actually helped me save time in the exams. For Gen Nav, I found that using a globe really helped me understand aspects of convergency and divergence. Air Law, RNAV and Ops, use the Q bank and best of luck ...

thanks will come in handy im sure.
Best of luck with the rest of your training :)

19th Jun 2008, 20:51
I ve just done Phase 'A', i was on the brush up week i think in early May.
I spoke to the caa and they said they posting them out tomorrow, well the nice girl on the phone did anyway.
Good luck everyone! lets hope we dont need it :)
19th Jun 2008, 21:10
are there any chance, that our schools going to have them tomorrow?
19th Jun 2008, 22:10
depends which school your at.
maybe worth ringing them up in case to see if they ve got them in because they usually get them before you do. so i believe anyway
19th Jun 2008, 23:24
i think u answered your own question there
20th Jun 2008, 21:37
Me too, passed 14 out of 14 first time :) Over the moon to have finished ground school :ok: But, evenings to myself ??? what shall I do ???
21st Jun 2008, 13:21
:( 74% in POF.
Anyone know or recommend that i could get it remarked?
what have i got to lose?
21st Jun 2008, 19:43
£30 odd is it???
Depends how you feel the actual exam went - if you found it very easy and that this could be a mistake go for it, however unless I was ever expecting high 90s and got 74 would I ask for a remark - which Ive heard is a lengthy process anyway (believe it or not CAA!)
21st Jun 2008, 19:49
i was only thinking because the caa had computer trouble that they may have made a mistake.
hmm not sure what to do really
