I know that this is a popular question, and all new pilots are desperate for advice on this, but can't find an answer to this one.
If I hire a plane after completion of my PPL, can others make payment to me, to cover the cost of the hire? I want to split the cost of hiring equally among all on board. I will also be paying, I will not make a profit. I get cheaper hours in the air, and they get to fly over their homes etc etc, for a cheaper price than going directly to a flight experience company.
I don't want to upset anybody at this early stage, nor cross any lines.

Many thanks.

If you are talking about flying your friends around and cost sharing then there should be no problem with that. If you are talking about advertising for pleasure flights, even though your not making a "financial" profit" then thats definately a no no. Firstly you would need a CPL and some sort of insurance to cover your passengers.

Remember in this instance, you are still running a commercial enterprise.

many on here will prob have more knowlege and experience than me in this subject, but im sure thats about the size of it.

Many thanks.
I see where you're coming from, and agree. The early stages are going to be an expensive slog, and that's that. I guess if it wasn't, there'd be a hell of a lot more pilots around than there is.
Difficult is worth it.
