R44 type rating or not?

Hello all,

What are the employers view on R44 time versus R22 time, if we presume the job is not on either of these types? Are the equal or not?

If I want to become a FI, even if I woud not train students on the R44, do you still think I would have an advantage against other pilots if I had the rating?

I'm not experienced in the FI world but I would imagine the money would be better spent working towards the FI rating on your current type than paying for the R44 out of your own hard earned cash.

The 44 will be useful once you have the FI for when you are doing type ratings.
