 Does anybody have any idea what is going to happen to South African airlines if the fuel/oil prices keep on rising?

Yup-Airlines will go out of business-check Nationwide,Interlink.
However-cut the airport taxes-almost half of air fares are now made up of taxes-check Singapore Airlines or Air Malaysia to Asia.

Oil prices are unsustainable, at the present rate
I predict an oil price of US$90-100 end of 2009-Hope I am correct.

Unless they have some serious change in operating strategy, it will mean more of your tax money will go to the national carrier.

Interlink
Have they gone bust as well???

Their website is still there, but when trying to book a flight it just keep on saying that no flights is available. Also no live flight info on ACSA's web.
So if anybody can just maybe confirm it, or know what's going on?
With Nationwide and Interlink suddenly off the JNB-MQP route, Airlink and Express must be smiling...
