Dear Friends

A couple of years ago, I worked for a big airline using big aircraft.

During ground school, we were taught how to check the loadsheet, but subtracting the regulated masses from the structural masses - or something like that.

I have not seen it since (or before), but it appeared smart. Unfortunately I forgot how to do it.

Can anybody here refresh my memory?

Have a nice weekend.

You mean the "Underload check?"

Underload + RTOW = Max Allowable Weight

MAW is checked with:
MZFW + total Fuel on board
MTOW
MDLW + enroute fuel
The smallest of the three is your MAW for the flight.

max allowable weight-wet operational weight = max payload
max payload-total payload = underload

Got the underload? Then cross check
Underload + RTOW = MAW

The underload is to tell you how much last minute changes you can have.
