I'm totally obsessed like many with aviation and I can't wait to start flying lessons. I've saved abit of money and I can afford a few lessons. I know I can't actually gain a PPL untill I turn 17 but can I take lessons and log theses hours?

And more importantly is it worth it?

Thanks.

May aswell wait until you're 16 when you can go solo.

I was like you, I couldn't wait to get started, but believe me, there is no point in doing it before you can fly solo. Lessons done now would only have to be redone when you are old enough to go through the whole course.

For now, concentrate on school. It really is important :ok:

"Thats what my dad's been saying i just didn't want to listen to him."

Listen to him - I quit school at 15 saved 27 grand by 19. BCPL at the same age and at 25 lost my medical.

I had nothing to fall back on. Absolutely nothing. I always though that it would never happen to me but it did.

Make sure you have a back up plan. It took me years to get back on my feet.
