I instruct for the MEP class rating and the MEIR at an FTO.
Would like to add the FI(A) instructor qualification to my repertoire.
If I obtain that, can I also train instructors to instruct for the MEP and IR ratings, or are there additional hoops to go through, to achieve same?
Can't find anything specific in LASORS or JAR-FCL on the question.

according to JAR-FCL 1.330:
as FI(A) you are allowed to instruct for the FI-rating if :
- you have 500hrs instruction given
- have passed a skill test with an FIE(A)
- the authority (CAA) approves

Thanks, duveldrinker, for your reply,
I am aware of the basic requirements to qualify to teach for the FI(A) rating, as pointed out by you.
But my further question is...
If I obtain that qualification, can I also then teach the instrument rating instructor course, and the ME rating instructor course? (Given that I am already an MEIR instructor). That is the part I can't find clarification about.
To be specific, what qualification is needed to be able to teach the "Course for the instrument rating instructor rating" outlined in Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.395, and the "Course for the single-pilot multi-engine class rating instructor rating" at JAR-FCL 1.380. ?
