Hey everybody, can anyone plz tell me if there are any professional pilot programs in Canada like the one's offered by 'Phoenix East Aviation' and 'Delta Connection Academy' in US which allow you to work as an instructor for one year after your CPL and instructor rating.

the links are...

http://www.pea.com/courses/professional_programs.asp#III

http://www.deltaconnectionacademy.com/international.asp#j1

I like the Professional Pilot Program III by Phoenix East Aviation
and
Airline Pilot – J1 Internship Program by Delta Connection Academy

Do we have any such programs in Canada????

Thanks in Advance

The only thing only vaguely similar (although not really) is that somebody who does their instructor rating in Canada would be able to qualify for a temporary skilled worker work permit for up to 2 years to work as an instructor in Canada, ever since the rules were loosened a couple of years ago.

I'm trying to decide between Transport Canada's ATPL and FAA's ATPL (I will start from CPL, therefore the J-1 Visa is attractive, although someone mentioned that you could probably do the same thing in Canada as well.) Am I right to say that my consideration of which licence to get depends on where I would ultimately want to be based?

It looks to me (from looking up pilot job postings) that the Middle East, China and rest of Asia prefers the ICAO licence over FAA. Anybody have first hand experience that this is true or false?

The FAA licence is an ICAO licence. Probably what you mean is that the FAA one is being superseded by the JAA one in terms of acceptability. In terms of converting IRs, you would be better off in Canada.
