So is it a real helicopter or is it just a mock up?

Mubarak Muhammad Abdullahi who built a helicopter in eight months from an old Honda Civic, Toyota and the remains of a crashed Boeing 747 (pic above).

Cant see anything from the 747, maybe the sick bags.

Don't think this will ever ever get off the ground.

Although wouldn't it be great if Rob Mugabe tested it first!!!!

Looks like it has it's statutory disabled sticker seen on most cars in South London though!

I remember this story from last year. Mr. Abdullahi's heli has indeed flown, albeit "briefly on six occasions," and it has some, uhhhh, unique design features. :ooh:

Base package includes:

-Helicopter sustainably constructed from recycled materials, including scrap aluminum, a Honda Civic engine and Boeing 747 parts.

-Simple yet reliable rotor system featuring fixed pitch blades with lift controlled by RPM. Flight tested and proven up to 7'AGL. No expensive starflex replacements here! (Sorry, OGE hover performance charts not yet available.)

-Cutting edge glass cockpit equipped with "a small screen on the dashboard [that] connects to a camera underneath the helicopter for ground vision, a set of six buttons adjusts the screen's brightness while a small transmitter is used for communication."
