Anyone else getting a CAPTCHA to work round
everytime they log on?
Logging in has been discussed before but
have I missed something as this is a bit of
overkill! Any help appreciated.

I'm off to my AME to get a second opinion on my eyesight.
I had to refresh the image on the log-in 5 times before I could read one!! The stupid colours against a brownish sky were unreadable, then there was a 'Z' that looked the spitting dabs of a '2' and a 'j' that was infact an 'I'........WTF!!!! And another thing while I'm in rant mode - I called Motty a 'T' 'W' 'A' 'T' yesterday when we were talking about awful football commentators and when the posting appeared it came up as **** Are we not allowed to use childish toilet humour anymore??

I'm getting the same thing with the same poor quality of image. PPRuNe-ing is becoming a bit too much like hard work.
While I'm in whinge mode, I'm sure we've all been selected to win an Audi A3 according to that tacky advert that appears on every second page. I suppose it generates revenue but it does lower the tone.

My default browser is IE 7, and now after the CAPTCHA it tells me thanks for logging in. But I arrive at padlocked PPRUNE screen again (and again & again ...)
Which cookies do I need to kill?
Also the CAPTCHA on Firefox says wrong match but stills logs in.
Something isn't working.

All,
The admins have identified some miscreants attempting to hack some user accounts.
They have (temporarily) installed a plug-in that requires users to enter a 6 digit 'captcha' code when logging in as a security measure.
As I say, it should be a short-term measure, so please bear with it while necessary.
PS - I am actually "off-duty" in India right now, back mid-May.
PPS - Diver_Dave, check your PMs

Complete over-reaction IMHO.
