Some of my UK-based colleagues have received an email from the Executive Club inviting them to have a free year of Marriott gold status. I have the same EC status as the relevant people, but did not get the promotion. I use Marriott/Renaissance etc. regularly, but not the 50 nights per year to get gold. Silver does not really give you anything and gold gives you automatic upgrades. Any idea how I could get sent the promotion mail? (I live in Switzerland)
