Expats in Air Asia

Any expats currently working for Air Asia who could give some insight in to terms and conditions etc? Cost of accommodation in Malaysia? Perks, if any?

only indons and filipinas flying with aa,they are the only ones willing to come...the pay is lower then vietnam.no extras for xpats.you will fly your ass off.the fat TF is famous for giving and then taking you benefits.only come if you have no other choice...:=

So air asia will take on foreigners?...S/Os? i been checking their S/O pilot position openings since last year but it always states malaysian licences. hoping it might open up to foreigners one day but hasn't so far. i've done all my training in australia and to convert an aust. licence (CPL with ATPL subjects done) over to malaysian is apparantly unheard of.
Heard air asia work their pilots hard but when you've just got the bare minimums like me...mate, i'll be their bitch if i can get in on the 320s and get some real flying experience.
so does anyone know if air asia will take foreign S/Os??

They already create troubles for non-musleem Malaysians!

Though the website says Malaysian licence. In actual fact, ONLY for those Malaysian citizens holding Malaysian licence.

..as for now no expat f/o on a320 but as pilots leave maybe in future.. keep checking website...

Currently DCAM wont approve Foreign Crew to be Co-Pilots. This probably due to enough Local Pilots to fill the gaps. AA can hire Foreign crew as Capt however you need Malaysian ATPL. regards
