Following on from a post I made back in February about a Delta crew that entertained my 6yr-old son on the flight deck while we were stuck on the ground, it appears that he's learned from the experience. At JFK last night, another Delta flight, he said hello to the flight crew (who were out of the cockpit at that point) and asked if he could have a look up front. My wife restricted him to one question which was:

"How can you find the airport if you want to land and it's very foggy?"

This was probably very topical, given that they weren't even supposed to be on that flight, except that theirs was due to fly via Chicago and had been cancelled due to fog at ORD. Or he's been watching too many Air Crash Investigation programmes on TV...

(it turns out that Stansted was foggy that morning and he was watching the arrivals appear out of the fog while waiting for the flight to JFK)

So, thanks to another Delta crew for entertaining his curiosity.
