Hi All

Can anyone tell me what is the busiest airport in the world?

I have had a heated debate in work today with some colleagues but we can't seem to agree who it should be.

regards

I'm pretty sure I've read the 2007 info, but I can't quickly put my hands on it, so I have instead supplied 2006 data:

For 2006:

By aircraft movements:

By passenger numbers:

By international-only pasenger numbers:

By cargo:

Depends on your criteria:

Some say that, on race day, Silverstone has a higher movement rate than anywhere else... Its annual figures don't amount to much though!

Unless LHR starts improving its growth rate considerably ( or CDG's growth rate falls off), then Heathrow will lose it's crown as Europe's busiest airport to the Paris hub within the next few years.

Will T5 help LHR maintain its lead - currently 68 million pax per annum to CDG's 59 million ?
