Forgive me, but while I have been off uni for easter I have found myself glued to Air Crash investigation, and reading news stories etc about air incidents of the past, and i would say 60-70% of these stories involved a mcdonnel douglas plane . . . usually the DC-10 or MD80/82 I think . . . sorry if I have spellings etc wrong.

Why have so many of these models have serious and often fatal incidents since they have been put into service? Are they badly made or is it that there are a considerable amount of them in the air?!

Not sure how accurate this is, but it's quite interesting anyway... http://www.airdisaster.com/statistics/

You're at uni and you still can't do spelling - TRY LOOKING IT UP and McDonnell is spelt MCDONNELL
