Hi,

Im looking at all my options for flight training, i am attending seminars at Cabair and Oxford in the next couple of months but I am also considering training abroad but know very little about it.

I have looked at some schools in the USA and Australia and a couple that stick out are the Orlando Flight Training school in the US and Basair in Sydney, Aus. Does anyone know anything of these two schools and how their training stacks up against that in the UK? I understand that the Basair course only gets you an Australian license and if I was to come back to the UK I would need to convert to a JAA approved license. How much does this cost in time and money? And also, will I be less employable after training abroad? As the courses are shorter I have noticed and I am not sure if you complete less flying hours etc.

Any advice or links etc on this subject would be great! Sorry if it is a repost!

Cheers!

Do a search and more research, there are many better schools than a couple you have just mentioned.

A good place to start would be the sticky at the top of the forum.
