I'm curious, who actually sets the standards for a 7*? I'm used to the old system of 1-5*, but the idea of 7* only appears to have started with Burj Al Arab.....
Your link omitted the two 7* hotels in Jeddah :)

These must be hotels where rooms bathroom has it's own bathroom attendant.:)
I've stayed at the Fasalia a couple of times in Riyadh, which is also supposed to be a 6* or 7* depending on who you talk to, and I couldn't tell much of a difference.

I think that the common denominator here is the geographical location and the 'mine's bigger than yours' attitude that is prevalent here. At the end of the day, it's all a load of bollox.

How can you have a 7* Hotel that is dry? A hotel that ignores the needs of many of its customers cannot possibly be 7*!!!
