howdy all

well about this time last year i purchased the airservices CAR, CAO, AIP, DAPS E & W.... and I got a re-subscription bill in the mail

i only really bought them to finish all my cpl, irex, and atpl exams... which i have done

so i guess i need to know if its worth keeping these documents? still completing my cpl, but would i need them for my first job?

is it worth upgrading to jeps?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

i am thinking of keeping the AIP, and DAPS of course...... just not sure about CAO and CAR

cheers

The CAOs and CARs are all available online anyway - and don't change significantly. You'd be fine leaving them as they are, and just maintaining a current set of DAPs and ERSA, plus your local maps.

As for Jeppesen versus AIP, it really comes down to what you're used to - but Jeppesen are a lot more expensive. I use AIP, and shall continue to do so out of preference, but when my employer lets me take the company Jepps for personal use, I'll probably just use those exclusively, both at work and at play.

Jeps are good if you are going to do international stuff. In this case use them domestically as well and from a flight safety perspective you will be better off. Only need to know one system. Otherwise I suggest you stick with wot you already got.
