I have it on very good authority,Hainan will be seeking A330 crews to be based in Europe shortly.A small number initially, and also a base in Asia.

I do not know the Ts & Cs and that it is for A320 and 330.

I believe the contract will be handled by a very well respected agency out of Europe.

Good luck,IC:)

Hainan Airlines offers B-767 pilots a European base, so must be the same on the A330. Their Terms and Conditions are not bad i must say. On the B-767 it is a contract direct with them.
Any information how it is working for Hainan Airlines would be very welcome.

ddy,

on your 2nd post you deleted the 5 tickets for international travel and 2 tickets by Hainan Airlines. Do they offer these tickets?

Where's the bases in China apart from Haikou?

Any housing allowances?

Roughly what are % of expatriates?

Thank you...

Hi Fair Pilot

The 2nd posting......are you referring to the B767 Captain position?

The China based is PEK.

Airticket - 5 international travel on Hainan Airlines only and 2 tickets provided by Hainan Airlines and 4 Domestic travel on Hainan Airlines only.

Housing allowance - Beijing or cities outside china - RMB 5000 per month

Is 5000 RMB sufficient for an apartment in PEK?

Do they provide ground transport to/from work?

The Hainan Airlines web site does not seem to have direct recruitment access?

Thanks mate...(any place I can find more info?)

Hainan looking for A330 Capt based either in PEK, Brussels, Berline, Seattle and Kiev

According to their website they are only doining domestic flights, they have operated flights to these destinations.
So which kind of base/contract would that be? 6/2 weeks schedule? Or will they start flights to these dest. again?

Warning

I interviewed at Hainan 3 months ago along with 2 others. None of us got the job. They promised to reimburse the cost of the ticket, but so far it has not happened. The crew leasing company told us we would get reimbursed when we got to Beijing. That didn't happen. Every time we talk to them they come up with a new excuse or a new requirement for getting reimbursed. We have meticulously complied with every requirement, but they just keep making excuses and telling us it will be two more weeks, maybe another month. I will be quite surprised if they ever reimburse us.

If you go, you should not be expecting reimbursement for flight tickets, no matter what they tell you.

Good luck.

Which fleet was the interview for?
Any information on the interview contents would be appreciated. Seems a CAAC ATPL exam is part of the selection?
Thank you.

Well it is real simple, the word will get out if Hainan Air fails to reimburse applicants for airline tickets to the interview. Hainan will soon have a difficult time finding applicants.

They will end up with a reputation like Korean Air after they failed a group highly qualified group of 777 driversin Dec 2007. Now Korean Air is having a difficult time filling their positions because of the way they treated these pilots. Go figure they never learn...............:ugh:
