Has Part 61 especially the part for ATP has that been change already. Is it in force or is it just another delay tatic from the CAA. Ive tried to contact the Standards and testing okes at CAA and could not get hold of them cause fone just keeps on ringing.
Whats happening with this 500hours Mulit crew thing? If you have E120 on your licence and followed an approved course on Multi crew does B200 and B1900 count towards that 500 or must it be solely on a E120 or equivalent aeroplane.
Can anyone enlighten me on this topic cause it seems very vague to one and all.....Many thanks

The following is a very basic summary of the hour breakdown the way I read it:
1500 hrs, including:
• 250 hrs PIC, or 500 hrs multi-pilot through an approved multi-pilot course;
• 200 hrs cross-country
• 75 hrs on instruments
• 100 hrs night
• Max 100 hrs on flight simulator (NOT microsoft FS(sorry okes))

There are some restrictions on the amount of time in a flight simulator and I don't know if you notice the 'little' or. It seems the requirements help both the cadet applicant as well as the chap working his butt off in charter. Some of the cross country time can be counted "under supervision", in the new logbook formate there is a column for remarks and the supervising pilot needs to have signed in that column (I think thats for future reference)

that's straight forward enough. any idea on how they are crediting the hours. i.e. PIC and dual credited as full, F/O hours as half and P3 as a third as like the old system or have they revsied it aswell.

Seems to me very much the same as the past ie. full time as PIC and 50% as co-jo. They have made life easier with PIC under supervision where time is credited in full (there are some limitations to being "under supervision" etc but still a bit vague to me will have to read more) maybe there is some boff out there with better gen.

Dont get me wrong...this is how I understand it..

I have 3000TT, ME 550, Turbine 800 and E120 280 and B200 100 hours...this qualifies me for the ATP correct...and ofcourse the night hours is 100 as well...

This whole "and" and "or" even confuses the CAA as well. I heard guys were sent away because they dont have the 500 hours Mulit crew thing..but had plenty of B200 time...


And had approved training at 43rd Advanced....

This whole thing is just a absolute deurmekaar mess then...

Them AAC clowns don't even know whats potting. In the instructor renewal section a Grade II instructor has to complete 10hrs of "instrument":confused: flying in the preceeding 12 months (go figure)

Refering to the poor chaps being sent away it just the norm however it is on the CAA website in one of the MANY pdf files

PS whats Mulit crew
PPS Crew with a funny hair cut?

Yeah yeah....:O:O Cant spell for s:mad:t, my apologies....But I reckon some of those CAA dudes does have a "Mulit crew" hairstyle....;)

Back to the topic... I see that an AIC has been released....AIC 18-33 that give whole lot of exemptions to the existing one...Hope when I get to test they can sort out there misintrepetation of the law and have the ATP put on my licence without delay and hassles...or worse turned away like some okes already.

See AIC 18-33 has been withdrawn ? Can anyone download Part61 on the CAA website ? Ive been checking every day and its seems theres nothing there ?

Yes you can just look at " what you should know " second option. However rumour is there may still be one or two changes so wait a bit before you download them all
