middle aged pilot?

sorry if this old chestnut has bee flogged in days of old,cant find up to date thread,ok 41 yrs old ppl,would like to fly turboprops,will be 43 when marketable pilot CPL/IR/MCC.IS there a market nowadays for middle aged pilots willing to travel worldwide??? thank you for any advise.

There is a thread called "How old is too old" but I doubt you'll get a satisfactory answer from it.

Hey,

just reading a book and come across these paragraphs:

"There is a definitive niche for the older pilot which exists in the freight/turbo-prop market. Many of the operators in these fields have problems finding captains as younger first officers tend to bugger off to passenger jet jobs at the earliest convenience - command vacancies are then filled by retired jockeys who want to work to the 65 year old maximum.
Therefore an older applicant for an FO position is more likely to stay on for promotion to Captain which usually takes 2-3 years."
