Thanks for the comments!

High Lander,

Airliner.net recently mucked around with their terms and conditions. I've got two on there at present from last year, but not been back.

Magnersdrinker,

The photo locations in the Loop are very well known to the crews. Both sides of that pass will have snappers out on them Monday to Friday.

Bubblewindow,

Yes this is me! A real shame about the Ruskies and especially from your vantage point of the bubblewindow! No doubt see you around in April. Take care.

Some nice phots in that link Aidu, although I think TJ's images seem to have grasped a bit more emotion and atmosphere with the way that he capture the condensing air over the wings.

Did like this image though.

Thanks for the comments.

TheKittyHolder,

The image of the C-130J, ZH888, was taken on the 28th Feb. It came through with another J at 13:20.

GPMG,
Morley Lester 'BeanieMan' also caught that J from Cad East. Amazing bank! They would look great blown up on the crew room walls at Lyneham! Link to Morley's images.

The light was great back in mid-Feb and I tried something a little different for C-130 shots. I used a 2x teleconverter on my 300mm for some of the shots. Link to my C-130K/J images.

For a multi map scroll down to

'Machynlleth Loop - Tal-y-Llyn pass west side (Cad West)'

Note the details in regards to the sun in the morning at this location. Most people do Corris Corner, at the bottom of the pass, up until 12pm or climb Cad East.

Bet he was pissed!!!!!!!!!:D
I remember a couple of years ago as I sat on a hill in the loop, a pair of Strike Eagles above us getting a spanking from a pair of Hawks. it wasnt a planned engagement and the Eagle drivers where turning the air blue on the scanner!!:{

Would be ace to see a large heavy doing that low level stuff down that valley , can just picture some AEO eating a Cod Mornay from the stbd beam window of the mighty rod and waving with his perfectly clean white handed flying glove.

Great shots guys!!!

I think the Tornado in the first group of shots came through the ATZ at Swansea at fairly low level on the way home. I work the tower there! Gauntlet 11 I believe with a female driver!!

Well done all and pilots remember we love to see you all at Swansea - when we are not too busy!!!!!!!!

Regards

:D :ok:
