Hawker Sea Hawk FGA Mk6 markings

Good morning all,
I am wondering if anyone here can enlighten me as to the purpose of distinctive yellow and black stripe markings on the fuselage and wings of the Sea Hawks that were employed in the Suez Crisis of 1956/7?
Another question I have is if anyone could inform me as to anything on this aircraft that could be considered a 'special feature' (fairly open ended question, I know, but it is the one that has been posed to me to be answered).

For the same reason that in June 1944 Allied aircraft wore black and white stripes, in Korea black and white stripes were again applied to aid recognition.

Daryl, you might be better off asking this on the History forum if you've not done so already.

The stripes were ID markings to attempt to prevent blue-on-blue, just as the black and white D-Day stripe markings seen on Allied aircraft in 1944 were.
