Hi all.

C-172 'FUN' went down in Moshi TZ yesterday at 1120Z.
Pilot died on spot, "Pilot witness" on ground says it went in nose first.
Had paragliders.
It was on take off.
Anyone with photos?

Thats a shocker. Was the pilot the owner? Or the flying school? Did the sky divers also get killed?

Local Pilot, not owner. On divers lives, it seems like it is bad news.

The Aircraft owner is Local so I guess it must have been him.

Hey guys, any more news on causes of the crash? Heard she had just come out of maintenance shortly before.

Came out of a check in Dar (check 1 or 2 do not know).
I spoke to an investigator. Developed rough running after airborne after which rough running cleared and continued.
After a short while it was seen coming back towards airport, then the engine stopped.
Then it spun.
All this was given by a witness who was standing 1 to 2 miles from runway.
BGL was my good friend and I knew the aircraft too.
I wanted to know what happened. I got pictures.

I just saw a pic of the wreakage and it looks like it was uncontrolled. The plane is hit the ground very hard. A spin would make sense.
Again very sad :(

Hit almost vertical.
Engine came to cabin.
Wing leading edges impacted.
