I think I am correct in thinking that aircraft in the high cruise have specific corridors of air to fly in, living just west of Oxford I see a lot of high level contrails heading WSW/SSW ish - is it possible to buy a map that details the corridors that they are flying in ?

The size of the area they cover isn't that important (although southern UK and Ireland would be ideal), just would like to be able to relate their path against a map. Only interested in high level stuff.

Thanks

Yes you can buy a map.

Search for Jeppson, or go to Kidlington and bum an old one or write to No 1 AIDU, RAF Northolt.

Or go to AIS, register, and have a look at the maps in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) En Route Section (ENR).
