Hi,
I have heard about the relocating of a few RAF Merlin HC3īs (a Flight perhaps) from the UK to Gutersloh in the near future to support the British troops in Germany. Any comments?

I think there's more chance the Armed Forces will get a 50% pay rise than Merlins being based at Gutersloh! (oh for the good old days)

They may be sent on a det over there but it will not be a permanent thing.

They will have to get a few more serviceable first though!!

Sounds like someone has got their (telephone) wires crossed. :=

They have never left - ATC (albeit with an 18 month break in '93-'94) and Survival Equipment is still RAF, and now there are a number of RAF staff in the Logistics Brigade HQ....

There wouldn't be anywhere to put them if they did appear. We had enough trouble with the Puma last year...:E . You should start a ' Did you hear that the Lynx is getting scrapped' thread to realy stir the pot...:}
