After an unfortunate year of trouble in a so called FTO, somewhere in the northern part of Greece, I decided to continue with the rest of my professional flight training in EURO-PILOT FLYING ACADEMY in Czech Republic.
What a world difference: Proper real world training, honest people willing to go out of their way to help you, cooperative and helpful CAA. All at a price more than competitive with the rest of europe, even with VAT included. If I could do it all over again, I would have joined Euro-pilot right from the start.
I would have saved a lot of hard earned money and at the same time enjoyed my training more.!!

Hi there,
I finished my training with that school and i could not be happier, after a bad experience in another part of the world.
The Managers Radim and Adam are good people who really help you out and the instructors and staff also.
The Czech CAA are excellent and very quuick to issue licenses all of 1 day i had to wait for mine after my tests.
Also the cost of living in czech is not expensive, with lots to do and see on your free days.

I also pretend to do FAA IR MEP conversion to JAA IR MEP
Im thinking of having the CPL done with them, because i would have to do 250H to have the FAA CPL, than the JAA conversion, cant afford it.

Im portuguese though i have ICAO (brazil) PPL and right now 80 Hours total, half of it in old tailwheels and lots of bush strips :}

Im thinking of doing FAA IR in Multi (Do anyone knows if i need to be FAA PPL MEP before doing FAA IR training in a FAA Multi ??)

Ill also have hourbuilding [in USA and some in czech for EU space adaptation] done to reach some hours less JAA CPL/SEP before 200 for CPL Skilstest

(Since i will have the IR/MULTI converted to JAA before starting CPL/SEP, i will have JAA PPL IR MULTI, can i take the CPL/SEP course and do the CPL Skilltest in a Multi?, or by just having the JAA PPL IR MULTI when doing the CPL/SEP i will be able to fly Commercialy Multi Engine Planes?)

Simple but not less important question: Does the Czech CAA alows any of this, and how can i contact them to make sure...

If you guys can help me with this ill appreciate, have not beeing sleeping in the past few days trying to figure this out

As Bornaviator and sv2dfu both know things have changed a lot in FA. R and A turned out to be a pair of ass holes. There are endless stories of all kind of troubles. Lies seems to be their expertise. Trouble getting license issued, is only one of the many problems you will get with the CAA, where the people seem to just hate everything that comes from Flying Academy of Czech Republic. I'm not going in details at this moment, but anyone can send me a questions(s) in my private message box.

I have heard similar stories to what Yak 55 said although I don't have first hand experience on Europilot myself.

There are other great FTOs in the country giving first class training and in English.

A couple I have visit and can recommend by what I have seen are DSA, Aeroklub Zbraslavice and Fly for Fun. Also have heard good things about F-Air and Bemo Air although I haven't been to their schools.

Sorry all, been away for a while..
Unfortunately, I have to agree with last few posts about FA. What started well eventually ended up as a very bad experience with this FTO, and not only for me. There was a big change of attitude for foreign students, which I never understood. This was also real about their CAA. It' s old history for me now and I dont really care anymore, I would just say 'be cautious' with promises. :rolleyes:

Thought I'd wake this thread up. I'm considering going here. Has anyone got any recent experience of this place, or suggestions of where to go to get a good FI(A) rating done?
