Brasil, Colombia with FAA CPL

Hello!!!
I'm Italian, do you think there are chances to work on small airplanes with an FAA CPL IR ME in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and the Caribbean islands?

The U.S. Caribbean (P.R.) and St. Thomas, St. Croix require FAA Comm., the other Caribbean islands I guess depends on their needs.

Hi. Not Mexico. You must be "Mexican by birth" to fly Mexican registered aircraft. Need to have been born here or have Mexican parents. There are some jobs out there flying exec jets with N-tail numbers. You'd only need to get a work permit which would be done through your employer. I have seen some on climbto350 and such websites. Many owners keep their aircraft registered in the US (I've heard it's cheaper). Some Caribbean countries are more lax about that stuff, but not Mexico.

Not Brazil either, the situation is much the same as Mexico, except there are a lot less N registered aircraft. There are hundreds of local pilots doing that job, or trying to get that job. They earn very little, even in local terms.

You would also need to convert your licence, so you need fluent Portuguese, and get a work visa which means you need a job offer.

The Caribbean is your best bet.

Thank you guys, it was a while I wasn't getting into this thread. Thank you for you suggestions. I have to get my FAA ATP, so I'm really looking for countries accepting FAA licenses, but it seems that the biggest problem in central/south America is really having the work permit.
I'm still seeking advices.
